Pure Cafe is situated in the heart of Greyton at the Greyt Oak Centre on the corner of Main Road and Oak Street.
The Cafe offers vegan breakfast, lunch, teas, coffees, smoothies and other treats from 8 am to 4 pm daily (Sundays 9 - 3).
Ingredients are sourced locally and are organic as far as possible and the menu changes daily according to what is available.
The cafe includes a retail section with a wide range of spices, legumes, flours, fresh vegetables as well as vegan cheeses, mayo, ice cream, and yoghurt. There is also a selection of environmentally friendly personal care and household cleaning products.
The cafe hosts workshops on all aspects of plant based eating and supports pre-vegans in transition to a kinder lifestyle. Recognising the harm that single use plastics do to animals and the environment the cafe is working towards zero waste. Glass straws are used and the cafe recycles all its waste. The cafe is part of the national ReThink the Bag campaign and has invented a fabric shopping bag that is produced in Greyton and Genadendal, employing six people and creating around 3000 bags a month that are sold all over South Africa.
Sanctuary merchandise, including t-shirts, fabric shopping bags and felt pigs, are sold from the cafe.
100% of profits are donated to the sanctuary. For bookings call Nicky on 082 558 7752. The cafe can be found on facebook on
